what we need

  • 400 gfirm tofu, cubed, crisped
  • 1onion, quartered
  • 2tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 piecedaikon, chunked
  • 3 tbsptamarind paste
  • 100 ggreen beans
  • 1 bunchwater spinach (kangkong) or spinach
  • 1long green chilli
  • to tastesoy sauce

how it goes

  1. crisp the tofu on all sides in oil. set aside.
  2. 1.2 l water + onion, tomato, chilli in a pot. simmer 15 min.
  3. daikon in. 8 min.
  4. tamarind, beans, tofu. 5 min more.
  5. spinach in last, 30 seconds. soy to taste.
  6. with rice. always with rice.
